Meet John Monk
John has specialized in the automotive industry for over 20 years, starting at the BMW/MINI dealership where he began in sales. Utilizing his passion for the MINI brand, he sold thousands of MINIs and forged lifelong relationships.
After more than a decade in sales, he decided to transition to the service side, leveraging his established customer base. Following a brief tenure as a Service Advisor, John was promoted to Service Manager. After several years in this role, he departed from the dealership and established Cooper’s Garage.
At Cooper’s Garage, he employed MINI factory-trained technicians and focused exclusively on MINI Coopers. Fast forward to the present, John has partnered with Jeff Walraven, who shares his passion for MINI Coopers and BMWs, as well as a commitment to small business growth.
Together, they have assembled a team of highly skilled technicians in Middle Tennessee. Cooper’s Garage now offers services for BMW, MINI Cooper, Audi, and Volkswagen vehicles.
Meet Jeff Walraven
Jeff Walraven, boasting 32 years of experience in public companies and real estate, is the co-founder, director, and COO of FreeholdProperties. Formerly the CFO of MedEquities Realty Trust (NYSE: MRT), he led its financial journey from private inception in 2014 through a successful IPO in 2016 and sale to Omega in 2019. With 22 years of accounting experience atBDO and Ernst & Young and 12 years of corporate executive roles, Jeff showcases expertise in financial management and building companies. He's also the co-founder and CFO of Cooper's Garage, highlighting his entrepreneurial spirit and strategic leadership.
